This was a piece I created for a friend based on one word of their choice – the word ocean. Hand-painted lines create the waves and white caps of the water and real Florida sand illustrates the beach. I couldn’t help being inspired by the Florence and the Machine song, “Never Let Me Go”, that includes the lyrics, “and the arms of the ocean are carrying me.”
This print is created from my original mixed media piece, Ocean (2015), and is printed on archival, acid free matte paper. Available in sizes 8x10" and 16x20".
