I used acrylics to paint this piece for a friend, who spent a year in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. He connected with the people there, and I connected with the country’s artwork when I did my research for this painting. I was drawn to the palm trees, the brightly colored houses and the strong black outlines I saw in a lot of Haitian artwork.
This print is created from my original painting, Haiti (2017), and is printed on archival, acid free matte paper. Available in sizes 8x8", 12x12" and 16x16".
